We’re delighted to announce that Dr. Sharon M. Locke, Director of the Center for STEM Research at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, has been elected as Chair of the International Relations Subcommission of IUGS-COGE.

A geologist, educator, and global science advocate, Sharon brings decades of leadership in geoscience education, international collaboration, and inclusive STEM programs. Her experience with the U.S. National Science Foundation, UNESCO initiatives, and global education networks makes her uniquely positioned to strengthen COGE’s global connections.
