Geoscience Educator of the Month: Professor Caroline Tiddy

This february, we are proud to honor Professor Caroline Tiddy from Adelaide University as our Geoscience Educator of the Month (GEM). As the Chief Scientific Officer for MinEx CRC, Caroline leads groundbreaking research in real-time sensing and automated geochemical workflows to advance mineral discovery.

She is a great contributor to geoscience education, having supported over 90 postgraduate students through their research degrees whilst leading the Education & Training Programs for MinEx CRC and the Deep Exploration Technologies CRC. A dedicated Diversity and Inclusion Advocate and active member of WOMEESA, Caroline conducts cross-disciplinary research into equity and leadership to foster diverse and inclusive workplaces. Her commitment to mentoring and developing the next generation of balanced scientists ensures a bright and equitable future for both industry and academia. Beyond her professional achievements, Caroline is passionate about staying active through running and spending time with her husband and young children.
