Welcome Members from Chile

🌎 We welcome two new colleagues from Chile who bring valuable experience in geoscience teaching, teacher networks, and educational outreach🥳🤩
🔹 Paul Palma — Regular Member
Paul represents Alianza Austral High School in the Aysén region of Chile. He is a member of the IGEO Network, where he chairs the Chilean chapter, and participates in its GLESE program supporting Earth science teachers across Chile. Paul has also mentored the Chilean delegation at the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO), fostering student participation in global geoscience competitions.
Within COGE, Paul joined the Education, Outreach & Policy Subcommission, where he will our Public Awareness Campaigns
🔹 Kimie Suzuki Morales — Associate Member
Dr. Suzuki Morales is a Mining Engineer and Assistant Professor in the Department of Mining Engineering at the University of Chile, teaching courses in rock mechanics and promoting student-centered approaches to geoscience within engineering education. She currently serves as President of the Chilean Society for Rock Mechanics (SCMR) (2023–2027) and is an active member of SOCHEDI, supporting improvements in engineering education at national level. Kimie joins the COGE Social Media & Communications Team, contributing to outreach, visibility, and public engagement in geoscience education.
