Professor Amelia Calonge García: Chris King Medal Winner 2025

The IUGS Commission on Geoscience Education (COGE) proudly celebrates her as the 2025 Chris King Medal Laureate for her exceptional contributions to geoscience education, outreach, and teacher training. Also, she is one of the founders of the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO).

Professor Calonge, of the University of Alcalá, has inspired countless students through her leadership of the Spanish Geology Olympiad and her innovative work in promoting Earth science education across Spain and beyond.
