We are excited to welcome Daphne Arenas Yance as our featured speaker! Daphne is currently pursuing a BSc in Meteorological Engineering and Climate Risk Management at the La Molina Peruvian Agrarian University (Peru) and is the inspiring founder of FEMIMET (International Forum of Women Meteorologists). Through this youth-led initiative, she empowers women in STEM, promoting professional development, climate leadership, and gender equity. Her work spans several aspects of climate change impacts on ecosystems, and she has represented Peru on global platforms, including UNESCO’s Youth Leadership Workshop and NASA’s GLOBE Program.

This is a unique opportunity for geoscience educators and EDI advocates to learn, connect, and be inspired by Daphne’s journey.
