Welcome to Dr. Rok Brajkovič, our newest regular member

We are delighted to welcome Rok Brajkovič as a new Regular Member of the IUGS Commission on Geoscience Education (COGE)! 🎉

Rok is a researcher at the Geological Survey of Slovenia, with a solid background in sedimentology, archaeometry, and geoscience education. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles as project manager and educator, leading innovative initiatives like BetterGeoEdu and RM@Schools — programs that bring geology to life in classrooms across Europe. 🌍🧪

Rok holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Ljubljana and is also deeply involved in science communication, citizen science, and curriculum development. His creative and academic contributions — including the use of digital tools and even video games to teach geology — reflect COGE’s mission to foster inclusive, engaging, and modern Earth science education worldwide.
