Welcome Mónica Guzmán Rojo to our community! 🌍✨
We’re thrilled to introduce Mónica, our newest regular member from Bolivia! She is a professor at Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo,” specializing in Hydrology and Hydrogeology within Engineering. As the leader of the Hydrological Research Group (IHDRA) at CIDOR, she’s dedicated to advancing sustainable water management.
With a PhD in Engineering Sciences (highest honors) from Université Libre de Bruxelles, Mónica’s work is shaping the future of geosciences. One of her recent contributions—an indicator linking groundwater status to climate change—will be featured in Bolivia’s Sustainable Development Goals Atlas (2030 vision).
Beyond research, she’s a passionate educator! 
During the pandemic, she won first place in Bolivia’s National Competition of Good Pedagogical Practices (2021) for her initiative, “Mi clase de ingeniería”, fostering engaging virtual learning.
