GEFO Program Spotlight: Yaseen Muhammed

In 2023, GEFO Muhammed Yaseen did some fantastic work to improve geoscience education in Pakistan. This included bringing special guest lecturer Dr. Adrzej Dubiniewicz (Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management, Nicolas Copernicus University, Poland) to conduct field visits at primary schools in Dir Lower, KP, Pakistan. He conducted a virtual and in person workshop for students and teachers at the department of Geology, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, and a three-day geological field trip for aspiring students, researchers and visiting teachers to the Salt Range, Pakistan, which is on the Tentative List of Pakistan for a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
